In the summer of 2024, three people, including minors, committed sexual acts against a minor boy on one of the beaches of the Kotelivsk Territorial Community.
After the rape of a 12-year-old boy in the Poltava region, two rapists were fined, and the third was not even looked for. This was reported by ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets.
"The event happened in the middle of June this year. However, the law enforcement authorities learned about this fact only on August 5 and did not start a pre-trial investigation, but drew up administrative reports against the parents of the two boys. The parents were fined 850 UAH! They didn't even try to identify the third guy at that time," Lubinets wrote.
Only when this event gained publicity in social networks, the police entered information into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under Part 4 of Article 153 of the Criminal Code (sexual violence against a minor).
The prosecutor's office initiated an investigation into the police officers who did not enter information about the crime into the EDPR.
Previously, information about this story appeared on social networks. It was said that the teenager was beaten and then raped with a stick. Two minors and one adult took part in it.
