The Verkhovna Rada approved Law No. 10427-1, which was initiated by People's Deputy Stepan Chernyavskyi. 291 parliamentarians voted for the document. The purpose of the law is to ensure the resource needs of industry, which is critical during a military conflict and for three years after its end.
The law provides for the simplification of the import and circulation of cotton varieties in Ukraine, which are necessary for the production of gunpowder. It simplifies the procedures for state registration of cotton varieties and registration of rights to them without qualification examination. The law also simplifies the introduction of seeds of cotton varieties into circulation and their use without certification.
"I thank my colleagues for supporting the important bill No. 10427-1, which I initiated. Its adoption is very important for our country, especially in the context of the strategic need to grow this raw material, which is used for the production of gunpowder. This is a significant contribution to the development of agriculture and the economic well-being of farmers who suffer financial losses due to the war, as well as important assistance to the defense sector of Ukraine," Stepan Chernyavskyi emphasized.
