Detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security (Bab) exposed an illegal scheme for the importation of cars under the guise of humanitarian assistance for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the department.
According to the investigation, the organizers of the scheme forged official letters-request on behalf of charitable organizations, which noted the alleged need for vehicles for the Ukrainian military.
“In this way, the attackers avoided payment of duties and taxes when importing cars. Transport was sold for cash, ”Bab reported.
During the searches, the persons involved in the case seized five vehicles designed for charitable organizations, as well as documentation, rough records, computer equipment and mobile phones.

Investigative actions are currently underway, law enforcement officers are establishing all persons involved in the scheme.
We will remind, businessmen and tax authorities, prosecutors and customs officers, representatives of Babu, NABU, police and military, officials of a number of bodies and even involved journalistic investigations, owners of elite cars, value real estate - all candidates for the director of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine.
