Fierce fighting in the Pokrovsky direction - the Armed Forces of Ukraine are on the defensive

Intense fighting continues in the Pokrovsky direction, where the Russian occupiers are concentrating significant forces, seeking to break through the Ukrainian defenses. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi , who personally visited the soldiers of the 38th Separate Brigade of Marines.

Syrsky emphasized that the battles are extremely tough. Russian troops are using all available resources for attacks, especially being outnumbered in terms of manpower. At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers demonstrate extraordinary endurance and inflict significant losses on the enemy.

The main task for the command is to strengthen defense capabilities , including:

  • ensuring a sufficient amount of ammunition;
  • organization of timely supply of resources;
  • making non-standard decisions to increase the effectiveness of actions.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, only on December 11, as of 22:00, 194 combat clashes . The highest intensity was recorded:

  • Kurakhiv direction: 47 attacks.
  • Pokrovsky direction: 39 offensive actions of the enemy.

According to the spokesman of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Vladyslav Voloshyn , the enemy uses the tactics of small assault groups: from five to ten people accompanied by several units of armored vehicles.

The difficult situation forces the Ukrainian command to act as flexibly as possible. Non-standard tactical solutions help not only to hold positions, but also to inflict significant losses on the enemy.

"Ukrainian soldiers show heroism and resilience, despite the enemy's superiority in numbers. We will do everything to strengthen our defense lines," said Oleksandr Syrskyi.
