The Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian agent in the Rivne region, which collected data on military infrastructure in the interests of the special services of the Russian Federation. The new moon tried to establish the coordinates of aerodromes and warehouses of defense forces to prepare rocket strikes by the aggressor country.
As reported on June 15 on the official Telegram-channel of the SBU, a 24-year-old unemployed resident of the region, who was remotely recruited by the FSB staff member of Russia Ilya Kudryavtsev, was a spy. The recruitment took place through Telegram channels where the Ukrainian was looking for "light money".
After contacting the agent, the agent received clear instructions: to identify the location of Ukrainian military facilities, to reconnaissance on the ground and to transfer coordinates to the enemy. To do this, he installed in his car a hidden camcorder, with which he went around the region and recorded on the video position of the Armed Forces.
Law enforcement officers detained the traitor "on hot" - during the shooting of the outer perimeter of one of the military facilities. As a result of the SBU special operation, it was not only possible to prevent the leakage of important information, but also to protect the locations of Ukrainian troops.
During the search, the suspect seized a mobile phone, a hidden surveillance camera and other evidence of his work on Russia's intelligence services.
The man has already been informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - State betrayal in the conditions of martial law. He is now in custody. If guilty is proven, he is threatened with life imprisonment with the confiscation of property.
