Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) together with the Security Service of Ukraine detained the former inspector of "Daryivska Colony", who, during the occupation of Kherson region, worked for the invaders. This was reported by the press service of the DBR.
During the occupation of part of the Kherson region, the man got a similar position in a colony that was under the control of the occupying authorities. He continued to work in the admired institution until the liberation of the region. After the deoccupation, the inspector decided to stay in the territory controlled by Ukraine.
After the liberation of Kherson region, the man was mobilized, and he began to serve in one of the regional territorial recruitment centers (TCC) of Odesa region, where he served summonses to conscripts. At the same time, he denied his cooperation with the occupiers, declaring his patriotic position to his colleagues.
Operative-investigative actions of the SBI led to the discovery of documentation confirming the functioning of the colony during the occupation. During the questioning of the witnesses, it was possible to expose the defector, who was notified of the suspicion of collaborative activity in accordance with Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of this article provides imprisonment for up to 15 years.
The detainee is in custody, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure for him is currently being resolved.
