Zelensky comments on the possibility of the return of men from abroad: "Justice comes first"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that not all conscripts returning to the country must necessarily serve at the front. In an interview with the German TV channel ARD, he expressed his opinion about those people who went abroad in the first days of the war.

According to Zelenskyi, people left Ukraine for various reasons, since all borders were open at the beginning of the conflict. The President expresses his understanding that people were saving their families and making important decisions about their future.

However, the head of state believes that persons who have left Ukraine illegally and are of mobilization age should return to their homeland. According to him, this does not mean that all of them should serve at the front, since Ukraine has a large army.

President Zelensky claims that the main idea is justice. Such persons who have left must pay taxes in Ukraine to support the Armed Forces. He emphasizes that this is a matter of solidarity and loyalty to the country, and calls on citizens who have remained abroad to contribute to defense funding.
