Zelensky expects to meet with Trump after his inauguration: "He has a plan to end the war"

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expects to meet with the newly elected US President Donald Trump immediately after his inauguration. According to Zelenskyi, Trump expressed his readiness to do everything possible to end the war in Ukraine. The Ukrainian leader talks about this in an interview during the telethon.

"Trump told me: 'One of the first visits I will be waiting for is you.' He said that his priority is to end the war and he will do it. I think, yes, we will have a meeting after the inauguration. I think we will start working already understanding the whole plan," said Zelensky.

Zelensky also hopes that Trump's plan will coincide with the Ukrainian vision, but does not rule out contacts between the US president and the Russian side.

"This is understandable, because they will study a lot of details, who is ready for what. I think that will be the first period. From this we will build the next steps. The next steps should lead to the end of the hot phase of the war," he added.
