President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the possibility of using long-range weapons, which Ukraine received from the USA and Great Britain, for strikes on military targets on the territory of Russia. Speaking to journalists, Zelensky noted that he is currently not observing specific results of the use of such weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation.
"I think so: if it is possible to use the appropriate weapon, you can see its result with a hostile purpose in the temporarily occupied territories or in the territory of the Russian Federation. To date, I do not see the results of the actions of the relevant weapons," the president emphasized.
The head of state noted that yesterday's meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs David Lammy was very serious.
"Ukraine was very prepared, convincing and very detailed regarding the long-range at this meeting. And it is important that our partners perceived these details and signals from me personally," Zelenskyy summed up.
He added that in the issue of obtaining permission to use long-range weapons of Western production for strikes deep into the Russian Federation, one should be frank.
"Prolonging the process regarding our use of the corresponding weapons that you are talking about, which, by the way, we still have a large deficit, their use and the possibility of using them for military purposes on the territory of the Russian Federation - the delay of this process leads to the fact that Russia is engaged in by moving these military targets deeper into their territory," the head of state emphasized.
In this regard, as the president noted, if restrictions on partners are removed, it is highly desirable that it be a strategy for Ukraine's victory, and not a political strategy.
