"Congratulations to Donald Trump on his impressive victory!" Zelensky wrote on his official page on the Kh.
The Ukrainian president recalled his meeting with Trump in September and noted that he appreciated his "peace through strength" approach.
"This is exactly the principle that can practically bring a just peace in Ukraine closer. I hope we can make it happen together. We look forward to the era of a strong United States of America under the decisive leadership of President Trump ," Zelensky wrote.
He also expressed hope for strong bipartisan support for Ukraine in the United States.
"I look forward to the opportunity to personally congratulate President Trump and discuss ways to strengthen Ukraine's strategic partnership with the United States ," the head of state added.
