The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, expressed the opinion that the United States is not ready to provide Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles capable of striking at a distance of up to 2,400 km. In the interview, Zelenskyy emphasized that these missiles could significantly strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities in the context of the ongoing conflict with Russia.
He came to this conclusion after information about this secret point of his "victory plan" got into the press, for which he reprimanded the White House yesterday.
"If you want to publicly say some details of the closed applications that are in the plan, concerning, for example, the missiles that we requested from our partners, then you first say what I give, and then tell everyone what is in the application. Because when one of the partners first says that it is in the application, it means that he does not really want to give something, thus postponing the decision," said Zelensky.
It will be recalled that a high-ranking American official anonymously told the NYT that the transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine is an "absolutely impossible request."
