President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Western countries to take urgent measures to end the war in Ukraine by the end of autumn 2024. Speaking at a meeting within the Ramstein international platform, Zelenskyi emphasized the importance of ending Russian aggression, which has been going on for over a year and a half.
"Let's make this autumn the time when Russian aggression ends. Thus, we will restore a reliable international security order. We must do it," Zelensky emphasized. This call has become an important part of Ukraine's strategic position in the international arena, as the president demands intensified efforts to achieve peace.
Earlier, in early August, Zelenskyi expressed his intention to hold a second peace summit this fall, to which it is planned to invite representatives of the Russian Federation. The President believes that autumn is near, but there is still enough time to prepare for the summit and involve most of the world's countries.
Kyiv is preparing an action plan to end the war, which should become the basis of negotiations at the summit. This plan includes both political and practical aspects aimed at ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region.
