Ukraine has developed its new "victory plan" in the war with Russia, taking into account the possibility of Donald Trump's return to the White House in the US presidential elections. This is reported by the Financial Times with reference to high-ranking sources in the Ukrainian government.
Two of the three points in the plan were designed to interest Trump and were presented to him by Zelensky at a meeting in September - the replacement of part of the American troops in Europe with Ukrainian ones and the use of Ukrainian natural resources.
The source said Trump was "interested" in those two items.
American and European allies, including senior Republicans, have previously advised Kiev on how best to formulate proposals to encourage closer cooperation with Washington if Trump becomes president.
Trump was also offered the right to verify investors for Ukraine to avoid the infusion of Chinese money. Beijing-dependent industries may switch to US suppliers.
The FT also confirms the information that the replacement of the ambassador to the US Markarova is being prepared.
