Journalist Kateryna Rodak declared sexual harassment by LNU teacher

Journalist Kateryna Rodak has publicly declared sexual harassment by the teacher of the Faculty of Journalism of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv Joseph Losy. She shared her story, which became still studying at the university.

Catherine claims that during the test in the teacher's office, she remained closed in the room where the moose began to give her unethical advice on her personal life, work and appearance.

“We were two, and for a very long time I listened to his lecture that a special man - Aryan, Ukrainian, with good genetics - is special. And what to get pregnant. What I need to work only where he will say. No journalism on the Internet, only a newspaper. And to stop communicating with my girlfriends, because they have a bad effect on me. And what to wear jeans with naked knees I cannot - it is not me, but still excites and distracts teachers (specifically), ”the journalist wrote.

Subsequently, according to the woman, the teacher took her hands and began to touch her, lifting her sweater sleeve. Catherine stressed that she felt disgust, but could not answer her question because she was her teacher, and she was afraid of reaction to her refusal.

“I replied that nothing. But it was a lie - I felt disgust, but I could not say it, because I was pressed by his professorial authority and the feeling that it would be an exaggeration if I somehow react sharply. In some way, this bridle communication ended, and I no longer went to that office alone, ”Kateryna Rodak shared his memories.

Also, according to the journalist, most of the faculty knew about the harassment of moose, but the university did not respond to the complaints of students, reducing everything to jokes and a non -serious attitude to the situation.

"It was perceived as something funny - well, he is old, do not exaggerate," Rodak said.

Joseph Los himself in a comment for Lviv.Media, denied any allegations, calling them "provocation." He stated that he did not demand anything from the students and that it was "false". Asked why several students publicly declare similar situations, he replied that they were "pigs" and that it was all provocation.

“Because people are pigs, pats. This (charges - ed.) Provocation. Don't believe it is a great sin, ”said Joseph Los.

At the time of the publication of LNU, it did not provide an official comment on this incident, but the editorial staff appealed to the rector of the university for explanations.

We will remind, former student of Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts Vladislav Korenn, as an initiative, has accused Rector Mikhail Poplavsky of sexual harassment.
