Russian invaders are actively using S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems to attack peaceful cities of Ukraine, continuing to destroy residential buildings and terrorize the civilian population. On the night of August 21, units of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, struck the enemy's S-300 position near the settlement of Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov Region of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the provided information, according to the results of objective control, explosions were recorded at the specified aiming points. The accuracy of the damage is currently being investigated. The General Staff notes that these complexes are actively used by the Russian military for attacks on Ukrainian cities, which leads to numerous casualties among the civilian population and serious destruction of civilian infrastructure.
"The joint combat work of all components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine on important targets of the armed forces of the Russian Federation continues," the General Staff noted. This indicates the continuation of effective coordination of Ukrainian forces in the fight against the occupiers, aimed at the destruction of important enemy facilities.
In addition, the Armed Forces actively destroy pontoon bridges and engineering equipment of the occupiers on the Seym River, complicating their logistics and movement. Thanks to successful drone attacks, at least one pontoon bridge was destroyed. This is stated in the report of the Institute for the Study of War.
