At the exhibition in Paris, the KNDS company presented the new Colibri unmanned aerial vehicle, which will soon be sent to the Ukrainian army. This drone is considered the latest model of military equipment and has wide capabilities for various military tasks.
Colibri is a new technology intended to strengthen the operational capabilities of the French Armed Forces. The manufacturers started work on the drone in May 2022. It can detect and neutralize targets within a radius of 5 kilometers.
The UAV is also equipped with a guided fragmentation charge that provides high lethality against both static and dynamic targets. At the beginning of 2024, the President of Ukraine ordered the creation of a new military structure - the Forces of Unmanned Systems. The Ministry of Defense explained that the new type of troops is necessary to improve efficiency and adapt to modern combat conditions.
