The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has decided to extend the training period for certain categories of mobilized servicemen. Previously, the basic training course lasted 30 days, but now the duration of the training has been increased to one and a half months. This decision was a response to the current challenges of the war and the need to strengthen the country's defense capabilities.
For now, this will be a pilot project in four training centers, where training terms will be extended for 500 recruits. It will last until the end of the year, after which the experience can be extended to the entire Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is also planned to increase the time for studying the basics of using UAVs and trench electronic warfare equipment, as well as increase the number of hours for tactical and fire training, reconnaissance and sabotage activities, and battlefield survival skills.
Previously, mobilized people complained that they did not receive any skills in the training courses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and were helpless on the battlefield.
