An interview of Maksym Denshchyk before the murder about pressure from Fedorov appeared (VIDEO)

On June 11, 2024, Maksym Denshchyk, a lawyer of the Zaporizhia City Council, was killed in Zaporizhia, which came as a shock to the community and local authorities. An important moment was that on the eve of his death, he gave an interview in which he talked about the conflict with the head of the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration (OVA) Ivan Fedorov.

This interview appeared on the network only on November 15, but it already managed to attract the attention of the public, because in it Denshchik described in detail the prerequisites and details of the conflict with Fedorov.

Maksym Denshchyk shared his experience of two meetings with Ivan Fedorov, during which he was put under pressure. In an interview, he stated that Fedorov offered him to voluntarily leave his post, and later other persons, "from the governor", started calling with similar demands. Denshchik claims that after these conversations, he clearly expressed his position - he does not plan to leave his post, as he works for the community of Zaporizhzhia, and not for other interests.

In particular, in the interview, Denshchik mentions a conversation with Andrii Bugar, the first deputy chairman of the Zaporizhia City Council. According to Denshchyk, Bugar openly stated that they have their own team from Melitopol and that he should leave his post at his own will, in accordance with the will of Ivan Fedorov. However, Denshchyk categorically refused these demands, stressing that he works in Zaporizhzhia for the benefit of the local community. This was the last disagreement between them, after which Denshchik refused to resign.

Shortly before the murder, Denshchyk published a post on social networks in which he stated about "pressure and threats" from Ivan Fedorov. His death came after months of threats and manipulation. According to law enforcement officers, the suspects in his murder are representatives of the so-called organized criminal group OZU "Melitopolski" . According to the investigation, these people had close ties with local elites, which contributed to the pressure on Denshchyk.

It is interesting that after the murder of Denshchyk, Ivan Fedorov deleted all references to the tragic incident from his social networks. This fact raised additional questions from local activists and the public, who drew attention to the fact that the official's reaction to Denshchyk's death was extremely restrained.
