A slight warming will come to Ukraine today, but weather conditions will remain diverse in different regions. Forecasters predict snow in the east and north of the country, and rain is possible in several areas. Overnight temperatures will remain low, creating icy conditions.
This is reported by the Ukrhydrometeorological center.
In most regions of the country, during the day, thermometers will show +2...+3 °C, and in the southern regions it will warm up to +4...+5 °C.
At the same time, frost will persist at night. In the eastern regions -8 °C is forecast, and in other regions the temperature will drop to -6 °C.
Forecasters warn that snowfall is possible in the eastern and northern regions. In particular, precipitation is expected in Kharkiv, Poltava, Cherkasy and Kropyvnytsia regions, where rain will pass in the afternoon. In the western, central and southern regions on January 15, precipitation is unlikely, dry weather is promised.
Weather in Kyiv and the region
In the Kyiv region on Wednesday, January 15, in the afternoon, light snow with rain in some places. The air in the region will warm up to +3°C as much as possible.
The wind is southwest, 5-10 meters per second.
"Weather forecast for January 15 on the territory of Kyiv region. Cloudy, no precipitation at night, light snow with rain in places during the day. There is ice on the roads in some places. The temperature at night is 1-6°C of frost, during the day from 2°C of frost to 3°C of heat; 1-3°С of frost at night in Kyiv, around 0°С during the day," the Ukrhydrometeorological Center said in a statement.
