Assumption of St. Anne
On the church calendar, July 25 is the day of honoring the Assumption of St. Anne, the mother of the Blessed Virgin. Although her name is not mentioned in the Bible, according to the apocrypha, she became the mother of the Virgin Mary after many years of infertility. According to legend, Anna promised to devote her child to God if her prayers are heard. Her daughter, the Blessed Virgin, became a blessing for the world. The holiday has a deep spiritual importance, and on this day, believers usually pray for healing, family happiness and support.
