In Kiev, police detained a man who, after a "romantic" evening, stole a woman's phone and pulled money out of her bank account. As reported in the city police, a 26-year-old resident of Kiev caused almost 18 thousand hryvnias to his new acquaintance.
A 40-year-old resident of Podilskyi district turned to the police after finding the disappearance of her smartphone. She said she first invited a new acquaintance to visit. For dinner, which gradually turned into an alcoholic feast, the woman lost vigilance. This was used by the attacker.
As militiamen found out, the man learned the phone unblocking code in advance. When the hostess fell asleep, he took her smartphone and with his help not only paid for products in the store, but also withdrew funds from a woman's bank card.
The police quickly identified the attacker and detained him. Criminal proceedings were opened after theft and illegal use of means of access to the bank account. The man has now been informed of suspicion. He faces up to eight years in prison.
A date with a continuation now promises to turn into a real prison trial. Police urge citizens to be careful with new acquaintances, especially when dating goes into the feast.
