From a young age, he dedicated himself to serving God, entering the hermitage of Saint Macarius in the Nitrian Mountains, where he spent six years in prayer and spiritual growth.

For 32 years, Cyril led the Church of Alexandria, upholding the purity of the faith and developing Christian doctrine. His legacy includes numerous theological treatises and commentaries on Holy Scripture, which remain important for Orthodox theology to this day. The saint died in 444, leaving a significant mark on the history of the church.
