Last night was one of the most difficult for the capital in recent times: the Russian army massively attacked Kyiv with attack drones, hits were recorded in several areas of the city at once. There were casualties among the civilian population and serious damage to infrastructure.
This was reported by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko. According to him, seven districts of Kyiv were under fire, where partial destruction of residential buildings, fires in warehouses and car parks were recorded.
In Shevchenkivskyi district, a large-scale fire broke out in a business center building.
In Solomyanskyi, a high-rise building caught fire.
In Podilskyi district, drone debris fell at two locations at once.
In Obolon, as reported by the head of the RDA, Kyrylo Fesyk, two floors of one of the residential buildings caught fire at once. 18 apartments were damaged.
"Obolon was one of the main targets. There were a lot of explosions, numerous fires in the residential sector," Fesyk noted.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, at least four people were injured in the shelling, all of whom were taken to hospitals.
Over 500 missiles and UAVs were fired across Ukraine that night.
According to the air defense forces, most targets were destroyed, but hits were recorded in 10 locations, and in another 17 cases, debris fell on civilian objects.
Rivne region also suffered a powerful air strike.
Head of the regional administration Vitaliy Koval said that the main part of the attack was concentrated in the city of Dubno, where a military airfield is located. One civilian was injured, and several enemy missiles were destroyed by air defense forces.
Ukrainian authorities continue to record the consequences of shelling and urge citizens not to ignore alarm signals.
