According to our sources in the General Staff, a decision has been made to strengthen groups of military commissars for enhanced mobilization. According to the interlocutors, this is being done as part of preparations for a new offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which President Volodymyr Zelensky allegedly promised Donald Trump during recent talks.
To close the shortage of mobilization reserves, if necessary, the authorities are considering lowering the mobilization age to 18 years old - a step that would allow for a faster replenishment of the number of conscript resources. At the same time, personnel work is being intensified and the composition of mobilization groups in the regions is being increased: military enlistment offices have been instructed to intensify the search for reservists, check registration data, and speed up the staffing of units.
According to sources, the General Staff is aware of the sensitivity of the step: lowering the mobilization age and intensifying the conscription campaign have significant political, social, and legal consequences. Therefore, the decisions are allegedly coordinated with other government bodies and information communication is being prepared for society and international partners.
