In the world of the automotive industry, new technologies and innovations are constantly appearing, but sometimes we are impressed not only by the latest achievements, but also by retro-techniques that emphasize the ingenuity and talent of people of past decades. And just such a specimen became a unique Ukrainian electric car, which was demonstrated on the network and impressed users with its originality.
The home-made electric car uses units of serial Soviet cars. Only one pedal and two switches are installed in its interior.
In the Pedagogical and Memorial Museum of Vasyl Sukhomlynskyi in Pavlysh (Kirovohradsk region), an unusual exhibit is kept - a compact electric car. It was created more than half a century ago. The site Autogeek writes about it.
The original electric convertible was created in the 1960s or 1970s in the technical circle of the Pavlyshky Lyceum, the initiator of which was Vasyl Sukhomlynskyi. At that time, electric cars were exclusively experimental, although the development of such cars was also carried out at ZAZ.
The homemade electric car is designed for two teenagers or one adult. Its design uses parts from serial vehicles.
In particular, the electric motor was a modified starter from "Moskvich-400" (aka Opel Kadett). The car has 6-volt electrical equipment and a 96 A∙h battery.
Controls in an electric car are very simple. It has a small steering wheel, two switches (starting the engine and turning on the headlights), and only one brake pedal.
The characteristics of the car are unknown, but it is noted that at one time a Ukrainian electric car drove through the streets of Pavlysh.
