Fine instead of punishment: how the ex-head of the medical commission hid millions

The Sobornyi District Court of the city of Dnipro found the former head of the Dnipropetrovsk Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEC) guilty of entering inaccurate data into the declaration for 2023. This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.

Investigators found that the official intentionally failed to declare real estate, a car, her husband's income, and a significant portion of her monetary assets. In total, the amount of hidden assets exceeds 3.2 million hryvnias.

The court found her guilty under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional submission of knowingly false information in the declaration of an official. However, the official did not receive any real punishment — she was only fined and banned from holding managerial positions in the medical field for one year.
