A high-rise building was on fire in Kyiv. Firefighters managed to save three children and eight adults. There were also casualties.
This is reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
"The fire occurred in the electrical panel of a 16-story residential building from the 1st to the 14th floor, and electrical equipment in the basement also caught fire," the report says.
During reconnaissance from a smoke-filled building, the State Emergency Service units rescued three children and eight adults.
"Special high-altitude equipment from the State Emergency Service was also used for the rescue. Three adults were provided with medical assistance on the spot. The preliminary diagnosis is an acute stress reaction," the rescuers added.
The fire was extinguished in half an hour. The cause is being investigated.
