The Ukrainian-Polish border is operating with increased traffic again. In the evening, a significant traffic jam was recorded in the western direction, in connection with which drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and check the situation before traveling abroad or returning to Ukraine.
According to the border services, the largest traffic jams are observed at checkpoints in Lviv and Volyn regions. On the way out of Ukraine, significant traffic delays were recorded on the routes through Krakivets, Shehyni and Rava-Ruska, as well as at the Ustyluh and Uhryniv checkpoints. It is here that drivers have to wait the longest.
At the same time, at less busy checkpoints, in particular in Hrushev, Smilnytsia, and Nyzhankovychy, the situation currently remains relatively stable, without critical queues.
The situation at the entrance to Ukraine is also difficult. The largest traffic congestion is recorded in Krakivka and Shehyny. In particular, a queue of about two kilometers has formed in the direction of Medyka - Shehyny, which significantly complicates traffic.
The State Border Service reported that the checkpoints are operating in an enhanced mode. The number of border patrols has been increased, additional automated workstations have been deployed, and constant coordination with the Polish side has been ensured to speed up the clearance of transport.
According to the forecasts of border guards, the traffic intensity on the Ukrainian-Polish border will remain high in the future. Drivers are advised to use less busy checkpoints, if possible, to avoid hours of waiting.
