In the city of Obukhiv, Kyiv region, a conflict between a man and a woman almost turned into a tragedy. During an argument, the man grabbed a knife and stabbed his roommate in the chest, after which he disappeared.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv region police. The 53-year-old attacker is currently detained and faces up to eight years in prison.
According to law enforcement, the incident occurred in the evening. At around 6:00 p.m., the police received a report from the hospital that a woman had been hospitalized with a knife wound.
As investigators found out, an argument broke out between the roommates while drinking alcohol. During the conflict, the man grabbed a knife and stabbed the 53-year-old woman in the chest, after which he ran away. The victim was urgently hospitalized, and, according to doctors, her life is no longer in danger.
The police quickly located the attacker and detained him. Criminal proceedings have been opened against him for intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm.
The man was reported as a suspect for the crime. According to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, he faces up to eight years in prison.
