In the Ternopil region, master Yuriy Kordupel from the city of Zbarazh decided to sell the unique SUV "Ukraine" he created in order to use the proceeds to purchase transport for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The car was built in a single copy on the basis of the GAZ-66 chassis back in 2020, and over four years of modernization, 35 thousand dollars were invested in it.
The car was completely redesigned, from the body to the technical equipment. Instead of the Soviet gasoline engine, a Mercedes-Benz turbodiesel was installed, which allowed to reduce fuel consumption to 10 liters per 100 km, which is an impressive figure for a four-ton SUV. The steering, braking system and clutch were updated, so the car became much more comfortable to drive.
Externally, the SUV received a new fiberglass hood, a modern radiator grille design and round headlights. Only the characteristic windshield and four-door design remained from the original GAZ-66. The car's interior is designed for seven people, equipped with heated seats and a convertible rear sofa.
This project is the result of four years of work by a craftsman who is helping the front line for the first time. Yuriy Kordupel has previously repaired and donated at least 10 cars to the military. Now he is ready to say goodbye to a unique, self-built SUV for the sake of the army.
The sale of "Ukraine" should not be just a commercial deal, but an act that unites patriotism and support for the defenders. The buyer will receive not only a technical masterpiece, but also the opportunity to make a real contribution to victory.
