Oleksandr Formagey, a member of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities, declared a new apartment in Kyiv and two cars worth over UAH 1.7 million. The relevant data is contained in his declaration for 2024.
According to the document, in 2024, Oleksandr Leonidovich Formagey received a salary from the National Commission for the Regulation of Energy and Utilities of Ukraine in the amount of UAH 3.47 million. His wife, Yulia Formagey, who previously worked at Ukrhydroenergo PJSC, declared UAH 1.01 million in salary, as well as minor additional payments and social assistance.
The declaration lists a significant list of real estate. In particular, the couple declared a joint apartment with an area of 117.8 square meters in Kyiv, purchased on November 27, 2024 for 2.27 million hryvnias. The ownership of this real estate was registered in 2024.
The family also owns or uses an apartment with an area of 56.7 square meters in Kyiv, the right to reside in which was acquired back in 2020. Formagei's wife has owned an 83.2 square meter residential building in Boryspil and two land plots of 1,000 square meters each in the Kyiv region since 2013. In addition, Yulia Formagei owns a 447 square meter land plot in Hlevas, as well as a 40 square meter garden house in the same settlement, which is under construction.
A separately declared apartment with an area of 64.8 square meters in Energodar, Zaporizhia region, which is jointly owned with relatives.
The family's fleet consists of two cars registered to the wife. These are a 2020 KIA Stonic, the right to use which was acquired in 2021, with a declared value of 568 thousand hryvnias, as well as a 2023 KIA Sportage worth 1.18 million hryvnias, the right to use which was registered in 2023.
Oleksandr Formagey declared 20 thousand US dollars and 5 thousand euros in cash in his monetary assets. Bank accounts in PrivatBank and Ukrsibbank show insignificant amounts.
The declaration also indicates financial obligations: Formagey's wife has a loan from Oschadbank with a debt balance of 637.65 thousand hryvnias, secured by a KIA Sportage car.
The family's expenses attract special attention. In 2024, Formahey and his wife declared charitable assistance for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for a total amount of over 500 thousand hryvnias through various funds, as well as a contribution to the needs of the air defense of the National Electricity Regulatory Commission. These expenses in the declaration coincide in time with the appearance of information about criminal proceedings regarding the activities of a member of the regulator.
