At the initiative of the Ministry of Veterans of Ukraine, a new professional standard has been introduced aimed at supporting war veterans, their families, and the families of fallen soldiers during the transition to civilian life.
Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs, Maksym Kushnir, announced this via the Government Portal, emphasizing the importance of professional support for veterans. He noted that every veteran should have access to professional support and assistance in adapting to a new life. The main emphasis is on an individual approach to each veteran, aimed at providing the necessary information and services.
“All needs that arise for veterans and veterans during the transition from military service to civilian life must find professional support and assistance, which can be provided by such a support specialist. First of all, we are talking about individual professional support aimed at helping our Defenders and Defenders in receiving, in particular, rehabilitation, psychological, educational and other services,” noted Maksym Kushnir.
Professional support specialists will advise veterans on their rights, opportunities, benefits, and access to various services, such as rehabilitation, psychological, educational, etc., as well as assist with the preparation of necessary documents.
