On April 23, the CHORNOBYL SHOP opens at the National Museum “Chernobyl”. This store offers over 500 products, including souvenirs, books, maps, dosimeters, and more. One of the features is the ability to check for radiation contamination on any objects. You can also purchase dosimeters at affordable prices in the store and try “Chernobyl coffee” with wormwood-Chernobyl.
The books presented in the store are mostly written by the participants of the events themselves – specialists and liquidators. All souvenirs are original, made in Ukraine, including Chernobyl embroidered shirts. The assortment also includes military artifacts that support the struggle of the Ukrainian people.
The General Director of the National Chernobyl Museum, Vitalina Martynovska, notes that the visitor service area is an important element of communication with museum guests and helps change old narratives about Chernobyl.
CHORNOBYL SHOP provides a service of checking items for radiation contamination, which is important during war. The store also contributes to the reconstruction of the Chernobyl region and transforms the Chernobyl zone from a place of tragedy to a place of heroism and victory.
