The Security Service of Ukraine has exposed another agent of Russian special services in the Zhytomyr region. According to the investigation, the 22-year-old resident of Korosten worked for the FSB, passing on coordinates for missile and drone attacks to the enemy. To do this, she disguised her reconnaissance trips as everyday walks with her four-year-old child.
According to the SBU, the woman actively collected information about Ukrainian military positions, administrative buildings, and reserve command posts. She photographed objects in and around the city, as well as recording the routes of freight trains, in the hope of detecting military trains.
To avoid suspicion, the agent used the child as a cover — supposedly taking her to kindergarten. In reality, she was gathering intelligence for strikes on the region's infrastructure.
Law enforcement officers detained the spy as she was preparing to give her new coordinates to the curator. During the search, a mobile phone with evidence of cooperation with the FSB was seized from her. It was established that the agent contacted the enemy through Telegram channels, looking for “additional earnings.” There, she was recruited by a Russian special agent, whose identity the SBU had already identified.
The perpetrator is currently in custody. She has been charged with high treason committed during martial law (Part 2, Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). If proven guilty in court, she faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
