Hero of Ukraine, People's Artist, theater and film actress Ada Rogovtseva was hospitalized. Due to her health condition, she had to cancel two performances. Her daughter, director Kateryna Stepankova, reported this on her Facebook page on Wednesday, November 13.
“A week ago, my mother was in the hospital. It was hard. The cancellation and postponement of two performances. The inability to visit the Land of Poets. My mother's despair over the cancellations. And absolute uncertainty about further performances and recovery times,” Stepankova wrote.
The 87-year-old actress was treated at the Kyiv Heart Center.
Despite her illness, Ada Rogovtseva has already returned to her favorite work. Her first performance after recovery, “Be at Home,” took place in Odessa. The actress’s daughter shared her admiration for her mother’s willpower and professional dedication.
“I stood backstage and was once again amazed by her will, her unique ability to break through herself in stage work, to overcome her own powerlessness for the sake of service! Thank you to the entire team of “Be!”. Thank you God for the miracle that I was lucky enough to call my mother!”, — added Stepankova.
She also shared a photo with Rogovtseva after the performance.
