The Prosecutor's Office reported in absentia the suspicion to Serhiy Kryvenko, the founder and director of the Adzhalyk Charitable Foundation, in the case of organizing the illegal departure of military conscripts abroad under the guise of humanitarian aid. According to the investigation, in 2023, Kryvenko repeatedly submitted to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration lists of persons who were allegedly involved in the transportation of humanitarian cargo for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, medical institutions, and the civilian population.
Having received the appropriate permits, the head of the fund organized the departure of at least seven conscripts who did not return to Ukraine. In December 2023, the head of the Kherson OVA, Oleksandr Prokudin, noted "Adzhalyk" among the organizations whose members did not return after their second trip abroad.
This is not the first suspicion against Kryvenko. In February 2025, he was informed about the embezzlement of 3.4 million UAH of charitable donations. According to the investigation, Kryvenko spent the funds collected to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine mainly on his own needs. The violation was confirmed by searches on the territory of the fund.
Serhiy Kryvenko previously worked in law enforcement agencies in 1996–2004, in particular in the tax police. He was also a deputy of the Dovzhansk village council of the Odessa region and the head of the local branch of the Party of Regions. The Adzhalyk charity fund has been operating since 2016, and criminal proceedings against it began to appear in 2023.
The investigation is currently ongoing, and the prosecutor's office plans to continue collecting evidence to bring Kryvenko to justice.
