Boryspil International Airport is almost completely ready for the restoration of passenger transportation. According to Alexei Dubrevsky, the Director General of the Airport, five aircraft have already been carried out, which proves the infrastructure readiness to receive and depart flights. Provided that the relevant permit from the State Aviation Service, Boryspil will be able to organize regular civil aviation flights within a month.
"The level of readiness is very high," said Alexei Dubrevsky, adding that it will take three weeks to a month to organize regular flights of passenger aviation. In summer, the airport is able to make special flights in 24 hours, and in winter - in 48 hours.
The airport has retained virtually all highly qualified personnel: from more than 4,000 workers before the war, there are now 3.5 thousand, but much of them is in a forced simple. Regular training and internships for employees are organized to support the qualification.
"We have done several technical races, five aircraft have already been tested," the airport CEO added.
Despite the fact that a year ago they have already talked about the possibility of restoring the airport in three weeks, none of the civilian airports of Ukraine has yet received permission to perform regular flights. In this matter, according to Dubrevsky, the first word belongs to the Ukrainian military.
