On Tuesday, February 3, Ukraine is expected to experience a sharp cold snap. The temperature will drop to -28 degrees in some places, which will be the peak of this wave of frosts. This was reported by forecaster Natalka Didenko.
This day, the country will be under the influence of Arctic air. In most regions, the thermometer will drop to -22...-28 degrees. In the southwest, south, and southeast, it is expected to be slightly milder - from -17 to -22 degrees.
During the day, the frost will weaken somewhat, but will remain noticeable: in the southern regions, the temperature will range from -4 to -11 degrees, and in Transcarpathia it may rise to 0 degrees in places.
A powerful anticyclone is holding over Ukraine, which is contributing to the influx of cold Arctic air. No precipitation is expected on Tuesday. The sky will be mostly clear at night, sunny weather is expected during the day, but very cold.
The night of February 3 was one of the frostiest in Kyiv: -22…-25 degrees at night, -12…-15 degrees during the day. No precipitation is forecast, but there will be ice on the roads and sidewalks, especially on uncleaned areas.
The forecast predicts that temperatures will remain very low on February 3 and 4. Gradual warming will begin on February 5, along with possible precipitation and increased wind, which will reduce overall weather comfort.
