Ukraine continues to feel the consequences of Russian military actions, particularly on energy sector infrastructure. It recently became known that the Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant (TPP) is beyond repair after missile attacks by Russian forces.
This information was confirmed by the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military-Civil Administration Svitlana Onyshchuk during a broadcast on the radio station "Western Pole".
"More than 12 missile attacks were directed at our energy facility. All services were activated every time. But for some time now we have understood that the Burshtyn TPP cannot be restored - it is extremely badly destroyed," the official said.
According to her, they have contacted the government, the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, about this issue.
"Today, we have approval for the allocation of six boiler houses for Burshtyn: four - each megawatt, and two - each eight and ten megawatt. These boiler houses will be able to provide our social facilities and the population," said Onyshchuk.
