The Defense Procurement Agency (AOP) stated that it will continue its activity under the leadership of Marina Bezrukova, despite the decision of the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov. In her statement, AOP stressed that the Supervisory Board of the Agency remains valid.
On the evening of January 24, Marina Bezrukova stated that according to the law, it remains the current head of the department, despite the refusal of the Ministry of Defense to continue the contract with it. She said this on the public.
Bezrukova stressed that her position was in line with the legislation, since the Supervisory Board decided to extend the contract with it. And the project was sent to the Ministry of Defense.
“All documents are designed by proper. Therefore, my position is unchanged: AOP operates in accordance with the legislation and to the needs of the Armed Forces, ”Bezrukova said.
She also noted that she was shocked by the information of the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov on the non -reconciliation of the contract. According to Bezrukova, "it looks like an attempt to rape all the reforms that have been announced and promised by society."
We will remind, on January 24, the Supervisory Board of AOO continued the contract with Marina Bezruk for another year. They noted that in accordance with the Law on Management of State Property, the Supervisory Board is exclusive competence of the contract with the head. And they explained that, accordingly, the term of the contract is one of its terms, which is authorized to review the Supervisory Board. At the same time, the current version of the AOP charter does not oblige to agree on the change of the terms of the contract contract (in particular the prolongation of the agreement) from the Ministry of Defense.
In September 2024, Umerov stated that the procurement agencies of the Ministry of Defense - the Defense Procurement Agency (AOP) and the state operator of the rear (DOT) - will be united.
