The situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains tense, as evidenced by the events of the last day, which are striking in their intensity. According to the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on January 14, 86 combat clashes took place on the front.
In the fight against the threat, Ukrainian troops are faced with tasks of various nature. The enemy is active using aviation and FPV quadcopters, and conducts assault operations using armored vehicles.
In total, the enemy launched 3 missiles and 60 air strikes, as well as 45 shellings from missile and artillery systems on Ukrainian military positions and civilian settlements. Unfortunately, these attacks led to deaths and injuries among the civilian population, as well as serious destruction and damage to private residential buildings and other public infrastructure.
As for individual directions, the situation in Volyn and Polissya remains without significant changes, there has been no information about the formation of offensive groups. In the Siversky and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains its military presence at the border, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance operations and shelling of settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and also increases the number of minefields along the state border.
In the Kupyansk direction, defense forces successfully repelled three attacks in the areas of Synkivka and Petropavlivka, Kharkiv region, where the enemy tried in vain to break through the defense line of the Ukrainian troops.
Having come under active artillery and mortar fire, more than ten settlements have come under the influence of violence.
In the Lyman direction, 14 attacks were recorded in the areas of Makiivka, Bilogorivka, Luhansk region, and Verkhnokamyansk, Donetsk region. Trying to improve its tactical position, the enemy took unsuccessful measures.
The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of Belogorivka, Serebryansk Forestry in Luhansk Oblast, and Vesele in Donetsk Oblast. About 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Bakhmut direction, 5 enemy attacks were repelled near Klishchiivka and Andriivka, Donetsk region. The enemy also launched an air strike in the Bohdanivka area. Artillery and mortar shelling led to shelling of more than 10 settlements.
In the Avdiivka direction, 9 enemy attacks were recorded in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Stepovoye, Avdiivka, as well as 13 more attacks near Pervomayske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region. The occupiers, supported by aviation, were unable to improve their position. More than 10 settlements were affected by artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Maryinka direction, defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. The Russians tried to break through the defense 15 times with the support of aviation, and Krasnohorivka, Georgievka, Maksimilyanivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, and Kostyantynivka came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Shakhtar direction, the enemy did not take offensive actions, limiting itself to an air strike in the Volodymyrivka area of Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Zaporizhia direction, 9 attacks were successfully repelled near Chervony, west of Verbovye and Robotynye in Zaporizhia region. Artillery and mortar shelling hit approximately 20 settlements.
In the Kherson direction, enemy artillery shelling hit the center of Kherson and the settlement of Stanislav in the Kherson region. Multiple rocket launchers struck the areas of Tyahynka, Ivanivka, Inhulets, Mykilsky, Sadovye, Chornobayivka, and Stanislav in the Kherson region.
On the left bank of the Dnieper, the enemy does not give up attempts to dislodge Ukrainian units from bridgeheads. During the day, the enemy made 6 assault attempts, which ended unsuccessfully. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold their occupied positions and inflict significant losses on the enemy, as stated in the General Staff.
Over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces' aviation has carried out retaliatory strikes targeting 4 areas where enemy personnel, military equipment, and weapons were concentrated. Air defense (ADF) also successfully destroyed one Kh-59 guided aircraft missile.
Divided by missile forces, the military counterstrike was aimed at 3 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, as well as 1 air defense device and 2 enemy ammunition depots.
