The Ukrainian actor, writer and TV presenter Antin Mukharsky found himself at the Center for Public Attestation after his loud statement of charges of sexual harassment at the Karpenko-Kary National University of Theater, Cinema and Television. His scandalous post on Facebook caused indignation, because he compared the actors with "prostitutes" and called sexual harassment the basis of art.
Antin Mukharsky states that in the acting profession, the play of love, including imitation of intimate scenes, is part of the work. In his opinion, it is because of this that the actors can be called "prostitutes in a good sense of the word."
“At the Theater Institute we played love on stage: we hugged, kissed and even imitated sexual intercourse ... They did the same in the theater, sometimes even very frankly with summer actresses. The theater is a game, an overwhelming, manipulation ... Artists are prostitutes. But no one thinks of demanding from prostitutes high moral virtues , ”Mukharsky wrote.
These words caused a flurry of indignation, because many perceived them as an excuse of Harastment in a professional environment.
Even more resonance caused Mukharsky's statement that sexual harassment is an integral part of human existence and art.
“Sexual harassment is holy. They are not only the basis of art, literature, dramaturgy, they are the basis of human being. We are all children of someone's sexual harassment. There would be no sexual harassment, there would be no one n ** children about sexual harassment. Don't touch the holy! ”
Many have regarded his words as the image of the victims of Harastment and a candid provocation.
The scandal, which was indirectly spoken by Mukharsky, emerged after the public accusations of teachers of Andrei Bilous and Yuri Vysotsky. The actresses Kateryna Tyshkevich, Anna Borysyuk, Anastasia Tsymbala, Veronica Mishayeva-Yakovlev and Elizabeth Zaitsev accused them of obscene behavior, sexual harassment and harasmite.
The prosecutions have caused a wide debate about the inadmissibility of such behavior in educational institutions. The university has not yet made an official comment, but the cases of Haraster are being discussed at different levels.
The post of Mukharsky caused a wave of criticism on social networks. Many users have condemned his words as incorrect and provocative. Particularly angered by the people of comparing the actors with the "prostitutes" and the statement that sexual harassment is "holy".
Nevertheless, Mukharsky himself did not delete his post, emphasizing that it is his position, which is based on the experience in the theatrical sphere.
