22-year-old actress Hanna Borysiuk, daughter of famous Ukrainian actors Olga Sumska and Vitaliy Borysiuk, shared her horrific experience of harassment by a teacher at the Ivan Karpenko-Kary Kyiv University of Theater, Film and Television, where she studied until 2023.
On her Instagram, Anna published a video statement from one of the former students of this educational institution, who accused the teacher and actor Yuri Vysotsky of sexual harassment and psychological violence. The actress supported the girl, emphasizing that, unfortunately, she is not the only one who has become a victim of such actions.
Hanna Borysyuk reported that she was also subjected to violence by Vysotsky, but did not go into details. She noted that this pain still haunts her, and thanked all those who supported her during this difficult period. In her publication, the actress noted: “This pain still haunts me. Thank you that I am not alone with it.”.
It is known that Yuri Vysotsky was previously accused of harassment by actress Kateryna Tyshkevich.
“This university needs to be liquidated”
Hanna Borysiuk expressed her indignation at the Kyiv University of Theater, Cinema and Television. She believes that the institution has become a negative stage in her life. According to her, she “lost herself” at the university and felt a “gloom” to which she had even become accustomed. “The morality of this university cannot be studied. Methods for quickly eliminating such ‘educational epidemics’ must be studied to ensure the safety of students who carry their injuries through life without understanding their ‘I’. I lost myself there,” the actress wrote.
However, during this difficult period, Anna noted the support of strong people and fellow students, thanks to whom she was able to continue her studies and stay on a positive pace.
