Alina Grosu made her debut in the Netflix series

Alina Grosu, a famous Ukrainian singer and actress, recently appeared in a new Netflix series, which was good news for her fans. Although the details of the project remained a secret, Grosu herself hinted at participating in the filming in June, causing considerable interest.

29-year-old Ukrainian singer Alina Grosu appeared in a cameo role in the series "Monsters: The Story of Lyla and Erika Menendez" from Netflix. She can be seen among others in the courtroom at the hearing. A five-second video with a Ukrainian woman was published by the Telegram channel "What do you know about Bobul?"

The plot of the biographical crime series tells about the Mendes brothers, who in August 1989 killed their parents in Beverly Hills. The showrunners of the project were Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, and the cast included Nicolas Chavez, Cooper Koch, Javier Bardem, Chloe Sevigny, Nathan Lane, Ari Graynor, Dallas Roberts, Leslie Grossman.

Back in June, Grosu told that she was filming for Netflix in Los Angeles.

"I'm filming on Netflix. I am happy because I succeeded. This is a very good and interesting project. This is such a step up, I am proud of such moments. I can't tell you all the details because, of course, I signed the contract. Very famous actors are filming. That's all I can say," she said on the "1+1" broadcast.

At the same time, Alina, who has been on stage since she was four years old, showed off that she was studying at the same acting school where Hollywood legends Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable once gnawed the granite of science. She masters not only acting, but also directing.

The series has already topped Netflix's top views in various countries, including Ukraine.

The other day, a scandal broke out around Gros. The reason was the singer's words that she became an official representative of Ukrainian culture in New York on a permanent basis and even managed to attend a dinner with the mayor of New York Eric Adams.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to this news, which gained wide resonance in the mass media and social networks. According to the spokesman of the foreign policy department, Heorhiy Tykhi, Alina Grosu does not hold any full-time or non-full-time positions in the system of bodies of the diplomatic service of Ukraine regarding the performance of diplomatic or consular functions.
