Alina Grosu, a famous Ukrainian singer and actress, recently appeared in a new Netflix series, which was good news for her fans. Although details about the project remained secret, Grosu herself hinted at participating in the filming back in June, arousing considerable interest.
29-year-old Ukrainian singer Alina Grosu has appeared in a cameo role in the Netflix series “Monsters: The Lyle and Eric Menendez Story.” She can be seen among others in the courtroom at the hearing. A five-second video with the Ukrainian was published by the Telegram channel “What do you know about Bobul?”
The biographical crime series follows the Mendes brothers, who killed their parents in Beverly Hills in August 1989. The showrunners of the project are Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, and the cast includes Nicolas Chavez, Cooper Koch, Javier Bardem, Chloe Sevigny, Nathan Lane, Ari Graynor, Dallas Roberts, and Leslie Grossman.
Back in June, Gross said she was filming for Netflix in Los Angeles.
“I’m filming for Netflix. I’m happy because I succeeded. This is a very good and interesting project. This is such a step up, I’m proud of such moments. I can’t tell you all the details, because, of course, I signed a contract. Very famous actors are filming. That’s all I can say,” she said on “1+1.”.
At the same time, Alina, who has been on stage since she was four, boasted that she was studying at the same acting school where Hollywood legends Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable once gnawed at the granite of science. She is mastering not only acting skills, but also directing.
The series has already topped Netflix's top views in various countries, including Ukraine.
A scandal erupted recently around Gros. The reason for this was the singer's words that she had become the official representative of Ukrainian culture in New York on a permanent basis and even managed to attend a dinner party with New York Mayor Eric Adams.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to this news, which received wide coverage in the media and social networks. According to the spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, Georgy Tykhy, Alina Grosu does not hold any full-time or part-time positions in the system of bodies of the diplomatic service of Ukraine in the performance of diplomatic or consular functions.
