In Ukraine, all men can be mobilized, regardless of their status. This was stated by the deputy commander of the 68th brigade with the call sign “Yavir”. His words caused a wave of discussion, because they are about radical changes in approaches to mobilization.
“Yavir” did not hide the harsh reality:
"All the men who are at home now should prepare. It will not pass them by. Officially, there are no suitable ones according to the documents. Soon everyone will be involved.".
This statement came against the backdrop of ongoing difficulties with the implementation of the mobilization plan. As Yavir noted, people who do not meet the necessary physical or medical requirements often end up in the ranks of the military.
Why do problems arise?
According to the deputy brigade commander, the main problem is not with the military commissariats (MCC), which are forced to take everyone one by one, but with the medics. He emphasized that a significant part of those unfit for service receive fake documents about their fitness for service in exchange for bribes.
"Doctors who make fake documents are contributing to chaos. This needs to be addressed," said "Yavir."
At the same time, the CCC records situations when, in order to carry out the plan, potential conscripts are told:
"Shut up, you'll be fired there, we need to carry out the plan.".
The announcement of the involvement of all men raises serious questions about the state's readiness for such a step. Will there be enough resources to properly train, equip, and provide for the mobilized? Can the mobilization system avoid chaos, corruption, and injustice?
Military experts note that such radical measures may be due to the situation on the front. At the same time, analysts call for systemic changes in mobilization processes, in particular, strengthening control over medical commissions and ensuring transparency of decisions.
