The higher anti-corruption court extended until April 21 the term of office of the former Deputy Minister for Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure, Vasyl Lozynskyi. According to the National Anti-corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office, Lozynskyi is suspected of receiving illegal benefits in the amount of $400,000.
The decision to extend Lozynskyi's term of office was made on February 21 by the High Anti-Corruption Court. According to this decision, the duties of the suspect were extended until April 21, 2024 inclusive. The SAP prosecutor expressed a request to extend this term, which was granted.
Lozinskyi is obliged to fulfill a number of conditions, in particular, to attend the requirements of law enforcement agencies, to report any changes in his place of residence and work, to refrain from communicating with certain persons and to hand over foreign passports.
We will remind that Lozynsky, along with four other persons, are accused of illegally receiving 400,000 dollars. These funds refer to the heat supply funds allocated in 2022, which were directed to the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure. The investigation established that Lozynsky agreed to purchase equipment at inflated prices from an entrepreneur who presented him with an unreasonably high cost of goods compared to the market value.
