The High Anti-Corruption Court made a decision on February 14 to detain in absentia the former general director of Ukroboronprom, Pavel Bukin, in the case of embezzlement in the amount of 13 million hryvnias, which concerns his co-conspirators, including the son of the former first deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleg Gladkovskyi, Igor.
Earlier, the court refused to arrest Bukin in absentia, but the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed an appeal, which was rejected by the Appellate Chamber of the Higher Anti-Corruption Court. Therefore, the National Anti-corruption Bureau and SAP again filed a petition.
According to the court's decision, Bukin was remanded in custody, but the issue of his change or release will be considered after his arrest and delivery to the place of investigation.
We will remind that NABU and SAP informed about the suspicion against Ihor Gladkovskii Jr. and the ex-general director of Ukrspecexport Pavlo Bukin. According to the results of the investigation, it became known that Bukin, using his official position, entered into an agreement with a company controlled by the son of a former high-ranking official of the National Security Council for the purchase of radio-electronic equipment at inflated prices for an amount exceeding 7 times. After the payment of the amount according to the agreement, the funds received due to overpricing were distributed according to their own interests, in particular, a significant part was transferred directly to Ihor Hladkovsky, Jr.
