Apartment for father-in-law, Infiniti 2021 and Lexus 2019: assets of MP Zheleznyak's family

People's Deputy from the Holos party Yaroslav Zheleznyak declared residence in an apartment with an area of 134 sq. m in Kyiv worth 12 million UAH, which is registered in the name of his father-in-law, Volodymyr Koval. The declaration also states that in 2024 the family began renting two parking spaces in the Pechersk district, but the politician did not indicate the cost of the rent.

People's Deputy from "Holos" Yaroslav Zheleznyak indicated in his declaration that he lives in a Kyiv apartment with an area of 134 sq. m, owned by his father-in-law, Volodymyr Koval. According to the document, the cost of the housing is estimated at 12 million UAH. Zheleznyak is also lived there with his wife, also a people's deputy, and their son.

In 2024, the family began renting two parking spaces in the Pechersk district of Kyiv, where the father-in-law's apartment is located. However, the politician did not indicate the amount of expenses for renting parking spaces in his declaration, which raises questions about the completeness of the specified payments to the declaration.

The MP's wife, a Servant of the People MP, Olga Koval, purchased a 2019 Lexus NX 300h for UAH 845,000 during the full-scale war — an amount significantly lower than the average market value of similar cars, which currently reaches about UAH 1.5 million. Zheleznyak himself purchased a 2021 Infiniti QX50 for almost UAH 1.2 million in January 2022, which they both use.

Previously, in a previous marriage, Zheleznyak had a similar living model: in 2015–2020, he lived in the house of his ex-wife's father, Yuriy Gorobets, and also used his 2014 Tesla Model S. During this period, the ex-wife of the People's Deputy became the owner of a large house with an area of 643 sq. m in Kyiv, and his father became the owner of several land plots in Bila Tserkva, which illustrates the persistent practice of using relatives' property in the politician's life models.

Legal and ethical context: According to financial control regulations, MPs are required to declare real estate, vehicles, and income and expenditure information belonging to them and their relatives. The use of property registered in the name of third parties is not prohibited, but may raise public interest if issues of transparency or inconsistency between declared income and lifestyle arise.

In cases where the declaration lacks information on rental payments or other expenses, this may raise questions from regulatory authorities or the public about the completeness and reliability of the declaration. So far, information in public sources is limited to data from the declaration and registers on car purchases - no official clarifications or additional comments have been received from MP Zheleznyak or his wife at the time of publication.
