The Asset Management and Tracing Agency is entering the final stages of preparing to sell the Royal Romance yacht, which is linked to treason suspect Viktor Medvedchuk. The asset is under the jurisdiction of Croatia and has already been transferred to ARMA for further sale.
As reported by the agency, the sale of the yacht is being carried out on the basis of a decision of the investigating judge within the framework of criminal proceedings. At the same time, the Prosecutor General's Office has already sent an indictment to the court, and the case has entered the stage of trial.
The key stage was the establishment of international cooperation. The Ukrainian side transferred the necessary materials to the Croatian authorities as part of legal assistance, which allowed progress in the asset management procedure abroad.
In parallel, ARMA is conducting preparatory work for the sale of the yacht. This involves assessing the value of the asset, determining the sales model, and organizing the procedure through public mechanisms that should guarantee transparency and maximum benefit for the state.
Royal Romance is one of the most valuable assets linked to Medvedchuk. Its sale is seen as an opportunity to replenish the state budget from seized property.
The agency emphasizes that the process is in the final stages of preparation. The next step should be the immediate launch of the sales procedure, after which the asset can be sold on the open market.
This case is indicative of the practice of managing seized assets abroad and demonstrates mechanisms for international cooperation in the return of resources associated with suspects in crimes against the state.
