Fire Point, which supplies drones and Flamingo missiles to the Ukrainian army, has found itself at the center of a new scandal after the publication of data about its connections with individuals involved in the Mindichgate case. This was reported by Slidstvo Info, citing the company's co-owner, Denys Shtilerman.
According to Shtilerman, his “personal banker” was Mykhailo Zuckerman, the brother of Oleksandr Zuckerman, who appears in the “Mindich tapes” as a partner of the main suspect in the Energoatom case. Oleksandr Zuckerman himself is wanted. At the same time, Shtilerman claims that he has not been in contact with Mykhailo Zuckerman since 2024.
Another person involved in the Mindich tapes, Igor Fursenko, known by the call sign "Ryoshik," worked at Fire Point as an administrator. He is currently under arrest. Shtilerman confirmed that Fursenko helped his family leave Russia, which in turn raised suspicions about the businessman's possible Russian citizenship.
According to NABU, Fursenko could have participated in financial transactions related to money laundering in the Energoatom schemes. On the "tapes" he mentions that it is difficult for him to carry $1.6 million in his hands. MP Oleksiy Honcharenko previously spoke about his connection with the Fire Point company.
Stillerman also confirmed that Fire Point is involved in the NABU investigation into possible price gouging during the purchase of drones for the State Special Communications Service. In a number of interviews, he has called himself the main developer of the Flamingo missile.
Journalists emphasize that the Flamingo is the same missile that Fire Point and President Volodymyr Zelensky presented as a strike weapon capable of covering up to 3,000 kilometers with a ton of explosives, surpassing the effectiveness of the Tomahawks. However, in practice, the missile did not become serial, and reports from the front are about its low effectiveness and vulnerability to Russian air defense systems, in particular the Pantsir.
Journalist Yuriy Nikolov said that Ukrainian drones and Fire Point missiles did not cause the expected damage to Russia's oil refining infrastructure, which allowed the Kremlin to fully restore not only its own fuel production, but also exports. According to him, the Flamingo project turned out to be experimental and did not prove its effectiveness.
Bohdan Miroshnychenko, citing representatives of the General Staff, confirmed that the Flamingo does not have proven combat effectiveness.
Earlier, media reported that the real owner of Fire Point may be businessman Timur Mindich, close to President Zelensky and the main suspect in the Energoatom case. The company officially denies any connection with Mindich.
